The Skin Conditions

Sensitive skin can present itself with any or all of the following characteristics:
- High colour to all part of the face
- Thin and delicate skin
- Warm or hot to touch
- Broken capillaries
- Prone to allergies
- Reaction to some skin products
- Break out may be present
- UV Sensitive
- May appear flaky due to dehydration
Dehydration is one of the most common skin conditions and occurs in most skin types. It is simply a lack of moisture caused by environmental factors such as air conditioning. If left untreated, dehydrated skin will cause premature ageing and can cause life-long damaging effects to the cells within your skin. Dehydrated skin can prevent your body from being able to fight the effects of Ultra Violent rays from the sun, which can lead to skin cancer.
Despite the dangers and discomfort of having dehydrated skin, it can be easily treated. Being aware of the first signs of dehydration is vital to knowing when to respond with effective treatment and care.
Dehydrated skin can be diagnosed when one or all of the following symptoms are present:
- Skin may be pale in colour
- Tightening of skin after cleansing
- Can appear flaky in some areas
- May have visible capillaries
- Fine lines can appear around the eyes
